The Tufts University Pre-College Engineering with Artificial Intelligence program offers high school students an immersive, two-week experience exploring the field of AI and machine learning. Taught by Tufts faculty, the program combines daily lectures, hands-on activities, and challenges to build foundational knowledge in AI. Students will delve into the historical context, mathematical and algorithmic understanding of AI technologies, and gain exposure to cutting-edge implementations at both university and industry levels. A significant component of the program involves debates and discussions on the ethical and societal impact of AI, fostering responsible development. Participants will also gain practical experience by developing their own applications and solutions to real-world problems, culminating in a group engineering design project and presentation.
